Its Tuesday night and the first adults class for the week, and what a busy class it was! I feel a fourth class coming on for term two!
Here’s a few pics…. ?
Week three and students are steaming ahead with some great creations….. mid term enrolments are welcome, so just shoot me a message for any enquiries.
You can enquire via Facebook or leave a comment on this blog post or email me: dawn@claymotion.com.au
Here’s a few pics of works being made during class – enjoy 🙂
We are a couple of weeks into the term and the children’s classes are making some fantastic creations …. we haven’t glazed anything yet… so stay tuned for future finished awesomeness!
Mid term enrolments are welcome for Saturday morning classes, fees will be adjusted depending on how many weeks are left in the term.
In the meantime here are some pics of the great creations so far this term 🙂
Week two of adults pottery classes and everyone is getting right into it – creating some fabulous pots.
Mid term enrolments are welcome, simply email me or phone me on 0438382522 to organise. Everyone works at their own pace within the class, so you won’t be behind within the class, and you will only pay for the amount of weeks left in the term.
In the meantime, enjoy the pics 🙂
Term One is always a bit of a blur with recovering from Christmas and school holidays, school fees, new school books, new school uniforms… the list goes on!
And yes, pottery classes start this week too!
But don’t panic, there are still spaces available, and if you’re not organised enough for this week the following week or mid term enrolments are welcome. Your child won’t have missed out on anything. Children within the class work at their own pace and are different levels, so nobody feels left behind.
If you enrol in week two or mid term I simply adjust the term fees to reflect how many weeks are left in the term. If you enrol online this can be credited back via clay and/or firing fees.
Children’s classes are held on Saturday mornings or Wednesday afternoons.
You can enrol online via the SHOP or call me on 0438382522 🙂
Meanwhile here are some pics of works made in the children’s class from last term.
Pottery classes begin this week at the ClayMotion studio, and there are a few places still available, but they won’t last long!
Visit the CLASSES page for more information about days and times, or go to the SHOP to enroll online … or ring Dawn on 0438382522 🙂
In the meantime here are some pics of a few wonderful creations from last terms creative students 🙂
All ClayMotion children’s workshops are designed to stimulate and develop children’s thinking and design skills in a relaxed and safe environment.
Workshops are $38.00 including tuition, all materials and firing.
Enrol via the SHOP or phone 0438382522
Parents will be contacted when the creatures are fired and ready to pick up.
January 13th Fantasy creatures 10-12noon
Children will create a fantasy creature from their imagination using the hand modelling and hollowing out technique. Creatures will then be finished with textures and coloured slips..
This is a fun activity designed to stimulate the children’s imagination, and aid dexterity and fine motor skills..
January 20th Monsters 2-4pm
During this workshop children will create a monster lidded pot using the pinching technique. Details such as eyes, teeth and horns will then be applied. Monsters will then be painted with coloured slips.
Term four was very busy, and I didn’t post much in the way of finished artworks during the term, so here is a second post showcasing some finished student work – you can check out the first post here
Term one 2016 begins for adults the same week school goes back and the following week for childrens classes …. all the dates and times are on the classes page.
And remember that ClayMotion also runs a school holiday program during January for the kids…. more information is available on the School Holiday Program page.
And, now to photos – enjoy 🙂
As term four draws to a close – where did that time go- I thought I would share some pics of some finished artworks created during adults classes (and there will be more to come).
Term one 2016 begins at the end of January. All the dates are available on the CLASSES page and you can enrol online via the SHOP.
So, until the next blog post have a great week 🙂
Wow, where has the time one? there are only two more weeks of term and I haven’t posted any images of finished artwork! I promise to be more vigilant in future…
In the children’s class this term there have been lots of fantasy creatures, which is great. I love it when clay is used as a sculptural medium (as opposed to functional wares, such as bowl & cups – which is also great) and kids imaginations are so fluid!
There will be some children’s school holiday workshops scheduled during January, so be sure to stay tuned by becoming a ClayMotioner and subscribing to the blog 🙂
You can also follow ClayMotion on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram
And without further ado here are the promised creature pics 🙂
