Kids School Holiday Workshop

Last weeks kids school holiday class was a small but fantastic group – we had lots of fun with heaps of creativity happening.

Creativity is great for kids – it consolidates problem solving and literacy and mathematical skills while also developing social and free thinking skills.

So, don’t miss out on the fabulous benefits of working with clay.

Classes for adults begin this week and kids classes start next week – so be sure to enrol for a fun filled term of making.

In the meantime here are some pics from the last weeks kids class šŸ™‚

ClayMotion Birthday Parties – Creative & Healthy!

Kid’s Birthday Parties in Ballarat

ClayMotion hosted another great birthday party on the weekend – this time for Jack who was turning ten. Apparently Jack is very artistic, including hosting a comic writing, designing and drawing afternoon once a week after school with his friends, many of whom attended the party – an initiative he thought up himself!!

Its great to come across artistic kids, but then I think all kids (and adults) are artistic… sometimes it just needs to be retrieved… but that’s another blog post!

Although a chilly day, it was a great afternoon with the fire blazing making the studio snuggly cozy.

The kids had a great time…. as did the adults who stayed, I suspect!

For more information on ClayMotion Birthday parties for kids (but don’t be afraid to book an adults party!) visit the ChildrensĀ Parties page or ring me on 048382522.

Here’s some pictures from the weekend šŸ™‚

Mid Term Enrollments Welcome!

Well here we are almost half way through term – that went fast!!

There has been lots of creative fun in classes over the past few weeks, including hand building wheel throwing, sculpting, glazing, bad jokes, good jokes – the list goes on…

And in the lead up to Winter in Ballarat the wood fire is always on!

Good News: mid term enrollments are welcome, and currently there are limited vacancies in the children’s after school class and the Wednesday morning adults class. When enrolling mid term you pay for the amount of weeks left in the term at the term rate (not the weekly casual rate).

Simply email me on ceramic_art@iprimus.com.au or phone me on 0438382522 to organise your enrollment.

Term Two Children’s Classes Begin This Week – Ballarat & Surrounds

Term Two Children’s Classes Begin This Week – Ballarat & Surrounds

There are still a few places left in the after school childrens classes for term two, and the easiest way to book is online via the SHOP or call me on 0438382522 and I will secure your enrollment.

Art is great way for kids to learn problem solving whilst being in a creative and relaxing environment. It also provides a social spaceĀ outside of the school context without any pressure to competeĀ – it is a win win!!

Classes are suitable for both girls and boys between 8-14yrs (average) and they will have lots of fun as well as feeling a strong sense of achievement and satisfaction when they bring home creations they have actually made themselves.

Birthday Party Fun at ClayMotion

Birthday Party Fun at ClayMotion Ballarat

There was more birthday party fun in the ClayMotion studio during the week with a group of 10 year old girls making treasure boxes and eating cute gummy bear cupcakes!

It was a chilly day but the fire was on and the studio was warm and cosy – so don’t let the cold Ballarat weather keep you away!

Birthday parties are available on most days after school and weekends and are a great and healthy alternative to fast food – plus party goers have a memory that will last forever in the form of something they have made themselves.

For more information click on the Childrens Parties link above or call me on 0438382522.

Here’s some pics of the fun to be had:

Term Two is Here

I am a bit behind in organising term classes as I went on holidays this past school break – an unusual event for me!

But, I am now getting back in routine….

Adults classes begins this week, and kids classes start next week – times and dates are available on the CLASSES page.

Mid term enrolments are also available, I simply calculate the fees based on how many weeks are remaining in the term.

I have also decided to introduce casual fees for both adults and kids classes considering that some people can’t commit to a full term due to work commitments, or that they may be unsure of whether they will enjoy the classes (though I am sure you will!)

Casual fees are: Adults casual rate $19.00 Childrens casual rate $15.00 plus the usual additions of clay and firing.

Feel free to share this information with friends and family that you think will enjoy pottery!
