Term One Classes & Workshops at ClayMotion

Term One Classes & Workshops at ClayMotion, Ballarat

Start the new decade off with a creative boost!

Art is a great developer for both adults and kids – it teaches us to think creatively (outside the box), refines motor skills, aids in spacial awareness skills, overlaps with maths and geometry and develops deeper communication and social skills – what’s not to love! Art is also a great therapy for both emotional and physical stresses in our lives.

We have a great range of classes and workshops on offer for term one at ClayMotion, for both adults & kids, which starts this week!

There are a few spots left in the pottery courses and the Thursday morning mosaics class – all of which start this week.

Mid term enrolments are welcome for the pottery course as we are all working on an ongoing range of projects…. but in the mosaics course we are all working on the same project so it is recommended that you enrol the full 4 weeks.

Other courses on offer this term for adults include Drawing for Beginners, Acrylic Pouring for Beginners, Eco Dyeing, Kokedamas and Macrame.

As well as the Children’s Pottery Classes we are excited to be offering a Children’s Art Course during term one where the Children will learn a new art making process each week. The course runs for six weeks and will be lots of fun plus creative learning.

Click on the hyperlinks in the above to check out all the details of the courses and to enrol or call me on 0438382522.

Eco dyeing workshops at Clayotion Ballarat Victoria

Eco Dyeing Workshop at ClayMotion, Ballarat Victoria

Eco Dyeing Workshop at ClayMotion, Ballarat Victoria

I LOVE eco dyeing, so decided to incorporate it into the workshop schedule at ClayMotion, and last Saturday was our first workshop, and it was fantastic with some superb results.

We eco dyed silk scarves with a range of botanicals from my garden including lemon leaves, red flowering gum, wattle, camelias, lavender and either string or rusty wire for binding.

The workshop had seven paticipants and they were a great bunch, and we produced some terrific colouring and patterns.

They enjoyed the workshop so much, they want more! So next year (I know – where did the year go!) I will be offering this beginners workshop and another workshop were we might explore vegetable dyeing, or dyeing on other fabrics such as cotton or linen – its in the planning phase – so stay tuned by subscribing the NEWSLETTER, or follow ClayMotion on FACEBOOK and INSTAGRAM, and be sure to visit the ENROLMENTS page for all the info on upcoming classes and workshops.

So, without further ado, here are some pics from yesterdays workshop!
